Morse Brothers, Inc.

In 1941, Joe Morse asked his brother Forrest to join him in the sand and gravel business in Harrisburg, Oregon. Brother Bill soon joined them in 1943 and Morse Bros, Inc. was formed. As the second generation joined the business, Morse Bros. locations expanded to Lebanon, Sweet Home, Corvallis, Tangent, Albany, Newport, Eugene, Salem, and Portland. Morse Bros gained the reputation as a construction company and supplier known for its honesty and reliability.In 1998, Morse Bros., Inc., was purchased by MDU Resources Group and merged with its subsidiary Knife River Corporation. At the time, Morse Bros. was the largest construction company in Oregon.
